I think God is big enough to surprise us all. Nobody can unwrap the full package of understanding an all-knowing God, but Love and Peace in the Christmas time of year are pretty basic concepts.
And it’s looking a lot like Christmas time around here…
and many have celebrated the birth of the one who birthed Christianity.
What makes Jesus Christ different from other prophets and the holy men of old?
His followers call him the Son of God. Yet in the Bible, Jesus called himself the Son of Man. He was described as Christ because he seemed to be christened with supernatural power. But most important, what he taught – is honored by many religions in today’s world.
Did you know verses in the Koran also talk about the birth of Jesus by a virgin named Mary (Qur’an, Surah 3:38-48). Muslims believe Jesus was a great prophet and to be highly respected. But how can that story be in both these two great religions? Because Jesus Christ said some outrageous things that are hard to believe!
* Jesus said he came down from heaven (outer-space) to give us good news about a Kingdom of God ( a government headed by God).
* He claimed God was his father and that we too can be brothers and sisters to him (children of God).
* Jesus Christ said he can forgive our sins, heals our diseases, and free us from oppression.
* He said promised if we believe in what he says, we’ll live into eternity.
Click the links above and read them for yourself. Can all this really be true? Why do we celebrate Christmas if we don’t even believe what Christ said? How can Muslims respect and honoured him as a great prophet if he’s lying? Because if his words are not true, then Jesus Christ is a liar.
I want to look closely at the words Jesus gave us, especially in this season when we celebrate a supernatural star in the heavens appearing to announce stupendous good news! Especially when he promised to return!
What if it is all true and Jesus Christ did come down to humanity as an ambassador from a government on a planet somewhere in the heavens?
And what if he comes again?

A host of celestial entities gave them a fantastic message—that the savior of the whole human race had been born (Luke 2:12), a child who was part God, part man and sent to us as a celestial ambassador. This was and is good news because we and our planet still need saving. Praise God that they deem us scrawny human beings worthy enough to be saved!”

Jesus christ talked about enlightenment.
The true self, not the ego. A story was created around him, but his message was of non duality!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I think people argue about the terms they use. Enlightenment to me is merging with God, the Source of all. His message was to live selflessly with integrity (not the ego) which results in peace. May I ask what you mean by non duality? If you mean ALL IS ONE by non-duality, yes, God is in all. IF you throw pure love into it, ahh, that’s when you’re filled to the brim with the joy of being alive!

I think he lived so outrageously powerful, the history of metaphysical manifestations in his life – has been reduced to a nice little story. But that’s why he sent down Spirit which we can now interface with and understand!
