I always try to find a positive perspective when hard times come. Because sometimes the hard times can be a catalyst for awesome positive changes.

I see signs of love and kindness all around during this Covid-19 pandemic, causing people to align with godly standards and model the love that Jesus Christ showed us. I’ve talked with social distancing to more neighbors walking in our community than ever before.

And when I listen to Leonard Cohen’s deep voice in this song, it gives me hope for my imperfections and our imperfect world. Tell me if it doesn’t make you smile too, just a little bit.
I would like to shine that light out from me. I want to ring the bell too. What if so many people start ringing bells that the whole world stops and listens… and changes are made toward peace, love and respect for others in all our societies? This current time is our chance to focus on what really matters.

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 NIV

“I am worth it. I am someone he cares about. He believes in me. He thinks I’m good enough to become something far greater, than what I am now. He said he’d give up his whole life for me.”

AND THAT’S WHAT HE DID.

My friends, he did this even though he could have called down leagues of armies to rescue him.

Even though he should have forgotten the plan, left us miserable souls, and just went back to that outer-space, glorious-place he came from.

BUT NO! He believed I’m worth it. He thought I was enough like him that he wanted to save my life from the chaos in this world.

He thinks the same about you! And now as we wait to be changed, all we can do is try to act like him…try to sacrifice parts of our life for others.

Jesus beckoning to us from the cross

He’s still here! He outside his physical body; alive in us!

That’s what it was all about…     That was EASTER!

How are you sacrificing in these perilous times?

Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them (and)...when he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. John 13:12 NIV
