Why are people so uncaring  and others shower us with kindness? It’s because:  how we act gets reflected back.

If we could be as pure and serene as this wilderness mountain, our lives would manifest this beauty too! When we’re kind and caring that is what reflects back into our reality. But when we’re selfish and harsh that’s created and mirrored back at us too.

What would our world look like if everyone spoke THE TRUTH?

DO YOU BELIEVE what social media says anymore? It’s difficult when every media outlet twists the events of the day for national political gain, or worse, for corporate monetary greed with hidden agendas. Continue reading

In our war threatened world “we the people” are weary from our egotistical political leaders carving up the diversity of countries like it was a board game.

Isn’t it time we come together and think of our selves as one human population?

It seems obvious there will be no peace on our planet until all people agree on a set of universal moral laws. Our justice system in the western world is based on the Judeo-Christian code of ethics.

But what if you are Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, agnostic or atheist? Are there higher moral principles that we can all agree on outside of religious doctrine? Continue reading

I am not usually one who takes an interest in international politics. But I’m a writer and I do research. And I’m tired of hearing about wars, so let’s talk about Afghanistan in the news right now. Continue reading

When I married my first husband he’d already barred the RCMP and the Catholic priest at his cabin door with a rifle. No way was he going to let them put his three-year-old half Native son in the school residence on the reserve, even if he was single and struggling to find child care as a timber faller.

I became a mother to that young boy later. I worked as a cashier at the trading post, became the secretary at the elementary school, and learned to love the backwoods life and the community.

Abuse in native residential schools is NOT ancient history.

It still happens in Canadian schools and foster homes. Prejudice against Canada’s native population is sickening. And even though my stepson has become a successful and respected business man, he had to work twice as hard and have higher integrity than any white person to get there. I am very proud of who he is!

Can’t we up north stop judging people by their racial features, and the colour of their skin? Pure, half, quarter, eighth, this race or that. Who cares anymore? We’re in the 21st Century and this is Canada! We’re all a mixture when you go back far enough in each family’s genealogy. And think about this:

God has NO colour-of-skin, no physical attributes!

My God is big enough to love us all, despite it all.

That’s how BIG we need to be.

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1st John 4:8 NIV

Virtual hugs to all of you! Our God is big enough.

Easter Lamb

Some of you gobble up chocolate bunnies for Easter. I know you do!  Usually for Thanksgiving we have turkey and for Easter – a crown roast of lamb, (if you’re not vegan of course)! How in the world did this choice of food get chosen for the Easter Holidays and Passover season?

I love this picture. A perfect little lamb is a fitting symbol for the rebirth of spring. When a lamb is born, it is such a symbol of innocence and purity. And so it must have seemed to the prophet, John the Baptist when he first saw the stranger named Jesus Christ approaching him to be baptized in the Jordan River. “Look, the Lamb of God” (John 1:35), he exclaimed.

Once upon a time (LOL) there was a boy who wasn’t right in the head, and had convulsions, grinding his teeth and foaming at the mouth. From childhood, he kept falling into campfires and deep water trying to kill himself. His father thought he was possessed by an evil spirit and sought out a well-known healer.

"... if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”

‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.”

Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:22-24 NIV Bible

This powerful healer talked directly to the spirit and commanded it to leave the boy. It did with a violent shriek, and then he was healed.

The father could only believe it was possible for his son to be healed when he connected to God’s power by asking Jesus for help.

That’s the formula! That’s how we overcome our own limited thinking. We connect to an all-powerful God who can then do the impossible!

From my heart to yours!

Some of us believe in Something Greater than Ourselves but we don’t go to church. We don’t like religion or the hypocrisy we see in it. But then how can we pray to get linked up with the greatest power in the universe?

Jesus Christ taught us how to pray. (Christ was not his last name! The word Christ means the one supernaturally, and powerfully anointed). Early Christians called it the Lord’s Prayer and in most Bible versions, it sounds pretty religious.

So here’s my 21st Century translation of it. You can compare it side by side to the original. I often pray this way. Perhaps this would suit you too!

The Earthling’s Prayer
Translated by JaneCatherineRozek
The Lord’s Prayer (King James Version)
Oh, Great Creator from out in space, you alone have sacred authority. Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
May your government be established on our planet as it is in the galaxies.  Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
Fill our day with physical and spiritual nourishment.  Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive our faults in the same way we forgive those who offend us.  Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
Direct us into a higher conscience and protect us from immorality. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For this is your realm, your unrivaled power and supernatural splendor, forever. For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever.
I align myself to these words. So be it.Amen.

I’m in Canada looking south across our border and shaking my head in apprehension for tomorrow. Are you geared up for the #Inauguration Day? The changing of the guard in the US?

Whether you’re pro-this or pro-that, please stop and use your intelligence before taking any action or spreading division. Nothing is ever black and white! Only when we address the causes of this #CivilUnrest will things begin to change for the benefit of all.
