Once upon a time (LOL), there was a boy who wasn’t right in the head and had convulsions, grinding his teeth and foaming at the mouth. From childhood, he kept falling into campfires and deep water trying to kill himself. His father thought he was possessed by an evil spirit and sought out a well-known healer.
"... if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Mark 9:22-24 NIV Bible
This powerful healer talked directly to the spirit and commanded it to leave the boy. It did with a violent shriek, and then he was healed.
The father could only believe it was possible for his son to be healed when he connected to God’s power by asking Jesus for help.
That’s the formula! That’s how we overcome our own limited thinking. We connect to an all-powerful God who can then do the impossible!
