Do you want to understand Bible passages that seem to say you can have what you ask for?  I do! There’s brilliant light around the corner but sometimes I’m still living in the shadows. There has got to be a way to engage and activate this creative power Continue reading

Around midnight one foggy evening years ago, I tried to connect with the presence of God, as I stood on the edge of a bluff overlooking the Columbia River far below.

Clouds covered the gorge and levelled themselves so that it seemed as though I could step out and walk upon the surface. My life also lay before me like a vast journey of undulating ups-and-downs, some joys yes, but lots of heartache. Did I even want to play the game?

It’s been a long, lonely journey for me. I started the book decades ago in our wilderness log cabin on the ranch, and the manuscript has survived a great many crises in my own life. Now after countless author editing and three professional editors scrutinizing every sentence, the manuscript has finally morphed into its final form and is listed on Amazon.com. I was so encouraged to have it chosen as one of the select few to be reviewed in ForeWord Reviews for their Dec. 1st edition. Over 80,000 libraries and book marketers subscribe to this quarterly catalogue. I think the book is ready to come out of its closet! I hope The Celestial Proposal will inspire you to “think outside the box” and map out your own spiritual journey for living life on planet earth.

(Open letter to a friend) Hi dear,

»Question #101

It sounds like you’re asking me what I think, so here goes: Your reasoning and the questions you asked were exactly why I wrote the book! The mechanics of utilizing power from believing in God/Jesus Christ was beyond me too. “Yah, OK, he died for me. He’s supposed to save me but what is he saving me from? Maybe he lives in me, whatever that means, but how does that change anything?”

When we translate one key word in “Christianese” into plain old English it clarifies things! We talk about Jesus Christ, but we have to realize that the word Christ is NOT his last name. It’s more like his nickname! According to any bible concordance and dictionary, Christ means “the anointed or the anointing”. The word, anoint means to daub with oil or smear on a powerful substance. Jesus is called The Christ because he was anointed with power from a celestial realm. All his friends saw that he had something different about him. So much so, that they also called him the Son of God.

The word christen is used today when we christen a person with a new name of notable character, or when we break a bottle of champagne over the bow of a ship to christen its maiden voyage.

So, when you start to read the timeless verses in the New Testament, try substituting the word Christ with the one anointed with power or the powerful anointing when you come across the word Christ. It’s pretty neat. IF CHRIST IS IN YOU then an anointing from a celestial realm is in you. If Christ lives in us, we are sent out with metaphysical power! Whew!

Hey, that came out good. If you don’t mind, I think I’ll put it on my blog! I’ll try to answer your other questions soon.

Love you dear.

PS. Here’s a fascinating passage!  Colossians 1:26-28

…the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.

Wow! I’m not alone! There’s a lot of other people out there that believe in God and who also believe in extraterrestrials! This survey says 32% of Christians, and even a higher percent of other religions, believe that  both of them exist. Polling close to 6000 people make up the data for some interesting graphs.

To me it is only common sense. I mean, really, if there is a God he sure wouldn’t be small enough to come from our planet. When Jesus told us he was “not of this world” and when God came down from the heavens, doesn’t that state they from off-planet; in other words…extraterrestrial?!!

I’d love to hear what you guys think about this…

This guy is amazing. He gets right to the depth of things and expresses it perfectly. I too hate the hype of religion but I love the depth! I’ve gone to many churches and sometimes you can feel the presence of an awesome invisible connection that makes you want to raise your head and just bathe in it. Tears tickle the corner of my eyes and my frown turns upside down. Unfortunately, sometimes it can also be kind of like a dry desert and you never get to the oasis.

But, that same presence of Spirit resides in any natural thing of beauty if we stop long enough to let it soak in…The sky for an example: in sunset mode, in wakeup morning glory, in lazy dappled clouds, in star studded quietness – what a church canopy we all have over us!

“Merry Christmas,” we call out to our friends and family with frosty breathe in the early winter evenings in the northern continents. At least our hearts our warm with tender feelings for strangers even on the sidewalks as we hurry on toward December 25th. What is this Christmas holiday all about, really? We sing “the first Noel”….“born was the King of Israel.” We sing “oh, star of wonder, star of night”…and “lead us to the perfect light.” We know the Christmas story about Jesus being a savior, born in a manger to a dark and dreary world but how is the birth of Jesus Christ viewed from a celestial point of view.

This event was of such magnitude that an angel was sent down to earth near the little town of Bethlehem to “shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.”

Snowy hillside

I guess these country sheepherders must have been terrified when a celestial being in the form of an angel suddenly appeared against the grassy hillside. They were used to gazing at the stars in the night. But now a brilliant shining light surrounded the figure in front of them.

“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.”

These celestial angelic entities entered our 3 dimensional physical realm to verbally communicate a message of such stupendous significance that there were hordes of them in the sky to witness it. It was their celebration, not ours! The shepherds who witnessed the event must have heard this message in their minds or spoken out loud in their language in order for it to be later meticulously recorded, and preserved for us today in written form.

Where did this great heavenly host of celestial beings shining so brilliantly against the sky come from? Perhaps all together they looked like a star. Maybe this was the star described as a radiant orb of light that had been sighted when it rose in the east. This luminous moving host in the sky was first appearing, moving, and then stopping at a specific time and place. What star does that?

Orb in SkyHistory tells us there were Magi, influential learned men who had first sighted it and traveled to follow it. “…the star they had seen in the east (or when it rose) went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.” If these men had our vocabulary, they would perhaps have claimed it as an unidentified aerial phenomenon that had come down from the heavens. A fantastic message was given to them by a host of celestial entities. The message? – That a saviour to the whole human race was born, that a child was born, part God, part man and sent to us as a celestial ambassador from their realm into ours. This was and is Good News because we, and our planet still need saving. Praise God that they deem us scrawny human beings worthy enough to be saved!
