I am sad. But then tears are sliding down the cheeks of many people right now. They’ve been ravaged by recent tragedies; cartel uprisings, ICE violence, huge storms, massive flooding. How does one accept the calamities that overtake us? What do you do after the tears?
There’s only one thing to do. You have to rebuild your life, your home, because you don’t really have a choice, do you?
What if you could rebuild with higher standards than any home builder would recommend?
What if you could use quality material that will last through the new storms of life?
What if you build the foundation on solid rock? And wouldn’t it be fantastic if you could do all this for free?
Your true happiness DOES NOT come from the things you own. A good life is built with intangible things; smiles, hugs, kindness, memories, and love for each other. Your mind needs a solid foundation built on immovable building blocks like loyalty, morality, and integrity.
Natural catastrophes CAN NOT destroy these attributes because they are spiritual, and they are your connection to the very power of God himself.
And God gives us the blueprints for a rich and joyful life. So from my own experiences, I urge you…don’t become a victim, “don’t conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2 NIV)
Tears are prayers too. They travel direct to God when we can’t speak the words.
For now, look for what is right and noble around you.
Admire the small lovely things that you have left.
And be grateful for whatever you have that is worthy of praise.
Because God has said, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5
