How do you talk to God in today’s world?
Here’s a free New Age translation to a traditional prayer:
The Earthling’s PrayerTranslated by Jane Catherine Rozek |
The Lord’s PrayerKing James Version |
Oh Great Creator, inhabiting inner and outer space, you alone have sacred authority. |
Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. |
May the government you designed rule on our planet as it does in the galaxies. |
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. |
Give us today our nourishment, both physical and spiritual. |
Give us this day our daily bread. |
Forgive our faults like we forgive those who offend us. |
Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. |
Direct us to a higher consciousness and protect us from immorality. |
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, |
For this is your realm and you have the right and the superiority, forever. |
For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever. |
To this I accept and agree. |
Amen. |
But do YOU agree? Did I translate it fairly accurately? Think of it – God is from heaven and not from earth, so wouldn’t that be from outer space, off earth, or extraterrestrial? And what is a kingdom – but a realm of government! If our DNA was ultimately designed by a Higher Intelligent Cosmic Life Force, we as earthlings might have one common script for meditation. If I offended anyone, please let me know. If I provoked some deep thought, please let me know that too! From my heart to yours with love, Jane Catherine

Oh, how I love feed back! Thanks (and a digital copy of The Earthling’s Prayer) goes to Lilamoor for the following comment:
“Forgive us the wrong things we do … the offences our thoughtlessness causes in other, and kick our butts if we fail to follow through with this kindness to others, when they slip up. … Good for you Jane, another great read and one that truly does make one think”.
