FINDING TRUTH IN A WORLD OF DECEPTION

I often find myself shaking my head these days. I can’t understand how people can think they way they do… Where is common sense any more? It didn’t used to be like this. What is happening to our societies?

In villages years ago, every person was judged by their actions. Their reputation was established by how honestly they lived, not by the many words they said. So in our fast paced digital world of fake news and propaganda, how do moral loving people find out what is true???

Have you heard of the term critical thinking?

Critical thinking is questioning what you hear/see/read from many different sources, then examining the motivation behind it, and using common sense logic to draw your own conclusion.

Politics are completely polarized by party division.. But we are not red nor blue. WE ARE NOT SHEEP! And what motivates each politician? Love for the common man or the big corporate money that backs them? What if we stand up and just question things for ourselves; examine, and use some common sense to determine who has INTEGRITY? AND IF we have moral godly standards, there are key scriptures to guide us too.

Jesus sat with his closest friends and explained that a true leader of the people is simply “a servant to all.” Real leaders work for the people, their rights, needs, and well-being. That is the definition a of “a good leader.” They will provide benefits for all the people, not just rich and powerful friends, It’s just common sense, isn’t it? And how do we determine a person’s character? By looking at their actions! We’re instructed to do this, too!

There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.  2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV Bible

I can think of many politicians who don’t have ANY of these characteristics… Please, please, dear friends, these are perilous times in all our countries, and we need to think for ourselves by the highest standards of right and wrong. We need to be brave enough to talk to others and spread the word to change things.

We the people, are powerful when we join together, stand for what is right, speak out, and vote wisely, We the people–have toppled governments. WE are RESPONSIBLE to create every small part of the city, the province/state, and the world we live in. Let’s go out and be the change in every single way we can.
