Creating with Faith seriespic-man-pray“I want to get my prayers answered. I want to co-create good things into my life. And I want to win a million dollars in the lottery!” So I ask God and I believe its possible but still nothing happens. What is blocking my faith now?

Then I hear a little voice in the back of my head saying, “But is this the will of God?” And suddenly there is this doubt blocking my faith. If you do not have the confidence that God is willing to honour your request, then your prayer will not be effective. The confidence you have in asking according to God’s will, is the very thing that makes this co-creating, miracle power work for you!

“How do we know that what we want to happen is what God wants to happen? What if we ask for something that God doesn’t approve?

If we ask for something and don’t know if it is within God’s will, there is a simple way to find out. We can align our request to stand up to the two great laws of love because ultimately God is love, right?

#1 Does our request line up with loving God with all our heart?

#2 Does the request conform to loving our neighbour as our selves?[1]

08-01-15-hard-questions-two-steps-to-knowing-gods-will_miniJesus Christ gave us these two commands so that we might create our own happiness! To (#1) love God more than anything else, will ensure that you have moral integrity because you’re following godly standards in your life. You put yourself under his authority. And to follow (#2) the global Golden Rule, to love your neighbour as yourself – will stop all self-centred greediness we might not even see in ourselves. Really, it is only logical. If you ask for something that’s contradictory to what God is all about, I’m sorry but nothing is going to happen for you.

In order to truly understand God’s will, there has to be changes made in our minds.

Fotosearch_k10149770Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2)

God’s will is good, pleasing and perfect. He doesn’t make decision based on how his day is going!

“In an overview of the recorded miracles Jesus Christ performed in his lifetime, some things are apparent. Of all the hundreds, maybe thousands of people who were healed, he never said to any of them, “I can’t help you.” This was never his attitude. In every example where there was faith, his will was to heal and to overcome the problem. Such was the willingness of his heart, as his examples show.”[1]

stars-arising-from-book“Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” (Matthew 8:2–3) NIV Bible
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)NIV Bible

And when he hears us, that’s when his power comes down and together, we can co-create some beautiful amazing things into our world!
