The man had an otherworldly appearance and he asked me,
“Do you know what this Christmas season is really all about?”
“Of course I do,” I said because I had grown up attending a church.
“Ah… but have you ever viewed the birth of God’s son from heaven’s point of view?
“Well, no.”
“That event was of such magnitude an angel was sent down to the shepherds living out in the fields, near Bethlehem where Christ was born on our planet. It all got written down.
"...and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified."
“Why were the sheep herders terrified?”
Wouldn’t you be shocked if you were gazing at the stars and a brilliant shining figure confronted you with a message? If those guys had our vocabulary, they would have claimed they saw a UFO!
“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.” NIV Luke:2-13-15
“It wasn’t just one angel?” I asked.
“No, there were hordes of them in the sky to witness the birth of this baby. These celestial entities entered our 3-dimensional world to communicate a message of such stupendous significance to us. But it was their celebration that year, not ours!” My discussion with this strange man was becoming animated now.
“Perhaps all together they could have looked like a star,” I said in agreement.
“Because this luminous moving host in the sky appeared, then it moved, and then stopped at a specific time and place. What star does that?”
“OK, I see your point.”
“They had it all planned: a child to be born, part God, part man, and sent to us on our planet as a celestial ambassador from their realm out in the heavens – into our dark and dreary world.
“That sounds pretty spacey, kind of like Sci-fi!”
“Well, where do you think heaven is?
“Oh right, his home up the heavens. Well, what was the message anyway?”
God and hosts of angels want to establish their government on our planet! Jesus Christ was sent to announce the kingdom of God waits for us out there!”
“So why isn’t it here, yet? The world is pretty messed up…
“Because we have to WANT TO surrender to God, and then download a whole new government system for our planet. And each of us has to do this personally. That will change humanity around us, which will affect the world’s nations. We have to pray for it worldwide like his followers did.”
"His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come; Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven... Luke 11:1-2 MEB Bible
“So that’s the Good News!”
“Amazing, aye? That God has chosen us scrawny little humans
and believes we’re capable of becoming godly-citizens in his celestial kingdom.
BUT best of all, we can save our planet IF WE ALIGN OURSELVES TO THE KINGDOM OF GOD!”

Thank you. Inspiring. I understand Christ is wholly God & wholly human–not partly either.

Oh, I love mail! Thanks for responding!
His disciples called him “The Son of God.” And he called himself “The Son of Man.” I like to think he had 100% access to his connection to “his father” and to humanity! But it is an interesting question. Was the virgin Mary artificially impregnated by an angel in a sort of medical procedure like it’s possible today? From scripture that’s what it sounds like to me. And if she was actually “the mother of Jesus” and not a surrogate, then Jesus was a “God in the flesh!” What do you think?
