I once lived off-the-grid in a 10 x 12ft log cabin in the middle of the Canadian wilderness. People find that hard to believe. They say I don’t look the type. My mother visited us, one of the last homesteads in BC, and once said, “but dear, you’re so poor.” I didn’t think I was poor until she labeled me that way…

Airborne plane with propeller whirling

“One late afternoon while flying in a small prop plane in northern British Columbia, I was reminded how easy it is to look through the rotating propeller and view the fields and forest below in perfect clarity.

The early morning light broke through the drapes of the window. Her eyelids fluttered and the problems of the day hit her once again. Reality sucked, and her litany of self-degrading comments rushed into her mind.

I’m so stupid, I’ll probably blow it again at work today, I’m never going to figure things out. Something is always going wrong in my life.”

The voice of Spirit, from the depths of her subconscious, spoke up loudly. “You are my joy, my child.”

This pleased her so much that she breathed in Spirit and got fighting mad at the dark little demon-imps clawing on her back.

Wide awake now, she heard the birds chirping in the back yard peach tree. Instead of her usual complaining of the early dawn noise, she told herself,

I’m glad to hear their cheerfulness. I’m pleased with the sound. I‘m so lucky to have a peach tree for them to sit in!”

She realized her self-talk had been chock full of negatives. She had let herself become a victim in her own self-image. She was not inadequate at all. Her words were creating her own negativity and that she could fix.

Today, she was only going to add the positives to her “I am’s”! She was going to fight the devil on his own terms, using her words as weapons!

“I am strong!” She shouted that morning, and then jumped out of bed, and got dressed.

So, my dear sisters let’s…

Check out the book by clicking here! "Whether consciously or subconsciously, we conduct power from whatever spirit source we believe in at that particular moment. The real question in our lives is always this: with which source of power do we agree?

Look at our knowledge about positive and negative energy fields on the surface of our earth, right down to the scale of electrons and protons in each atom. There are opposing forces in all of nature. Spiritual forces also magnetize us in one direction or the other. According to the positive or negative energy issued from our own mouths, we reap the corresponding dividends of our words. Just as the God Source created our world with his words, we each create our individual world, and together we create the personalities of our nations, all through vocalized thought!" Stone slab where Jesus' body was lain

Jane Catherine Rozek in Jerusalem, 2016

I thought I knew the Easter story until I prayed and sobbed on the stone slab that Jesus’ body once stretched out on. Until I read the black and white details in the first report of his resurrection… It was a woman – who first saw Jesus Christ alive after his crucifixion on the cross! Can you visualize it? I can, because we
also took this picture of the burial caves near the old city of Jerusalem! Continue reading

I read excellent posts by other faith-filled authors and here’s a powerful one by Robert Chamberlain, shared on another blog I read too. Robert says,

“I’ve been inspired by whitneyibeblog.wordpress.com to consider Bible men and their emotions, to try and encourage myself and my fellow men to get in touch with our emotional sides. So here…”

That’s what I thought at first when friends suggested we climb the heights of Cathedral Peaks in the province of British Columbia, Canada. But hey, I’m supposed to be empowered – I’m supposed to walk by faith, not by sight.¹ Continue reading
