Ta da! It is with great joy that I announce the release of the final novel in the Spirit Quest Series! Iโ€™ve shared my real-life experiences with you across these four interconnected novels, using the name Kate (because Iโ€™m not that young woman anymore)! If youโ€™ve read any of these memoirs, you know me a little. If you want to know me better, pre-order the 4th eBook in the series today! And on September 4th, a paperback copy of Mountain Destiny will be available. Wahoo!

A woman hiking through a colorful mountain meadow filled with wildflowers, surrounded by pine trees and mountains in the background. The book title 'Mountain Destiny' and author's name 'Jane Catherine Rozek' are prominently displayed.

This 4th and final book ends with a surprising plot twist! It concludes my extraordinary passage from wounded adolescence to resilient womanhood in the wild Canadian backcountry. Itโ€™s about winter wilderness survival, a promise that Kate had to keep, and a kind of faith that can be activated to gain what you need and desire.

Have you read the very first book in my series? It was printed in 2022 and provides early background and an entry point to my search for identity, resilience, courage, and spirituality. Each book stands alone, but there is continuity when you read them in order.

In Innocence Derailed, you meet fifteen-year-old Kate in the late 1960s, who was vulnerable in first love, confused in betrayal, and rebellious with disillusion. It shook everything she thought she knew about God. On this turbulent path of self-discovery, she had to choose between settling down in her hometown or following Spirit where it led.

In Purity Found, you followed Kate seeking a fresh start and a deeper purpose in the wild beauty of rural British Columbia. Then she met a rugged mountain man and his young son and discovered that love is not simple, and faith is not abstract. Thus began her search for Higher Power.

In Wilderness Courage, you saw how Kate confronted the hard realities and dangers amid the stark beauty of nature on their homestead in the Canadian wilderness. Kate had to learn how to be poor and how to activate her faith for what she needed.

In Mountain Destiny, survival becomes something deeper. Kateโ€™s spiritual journey comes full circleโ€”from a young woman questioning Godโ€™s voice to one whose personal faith and perseverance have grown so strong that they culminate in a beautiful reality, despite devastating upheavals along the way.

Here’s a review from Kirkus Reviews:

Rozekโ€™s narrative offers slice-of-life details and a vision of evolving faith as Kate grows from a young woman dependent on her husbandโ€™s dreams into someone whoโ€™s learned to activate a powerful belief system based on Godโ€™s promises to protect and care for her. The writing is strong, and Kate is a compelling character... Over the coming years, she learns how to โ€œkill her own snakesโ€ and becomes the warrior her family needs, embracing her destiny.
