Gregg Braden, a New York Times best-selling author has combined science, ancient truths from remote monasteries, and forgotten texts to share wisdom that speaks to our real world. His inspiring books are shared in 33 countries: Spontaneous Healing of Belief, The God Code, The Turning Point, Fractal Time, Deep Truth and The Divine Matrix, selected as the source for the TV feature.
I couldn’t help it! I was ecstatic when I read this quote from Gregg Braden. As a Christian trailblazer myself, I recognized that what he was talking about, is also clearly stated in the Bible, that old book many of us still read today.
It was Jesus who first explained to his followers how to activate the process to create our own reality!
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt…you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”[1]
That quote may not seem like it should come out of the bible, but it really does. The whole crux of the matter is the condition “if you believe”! Braden says to believe in the outcome as if it has already happened. In other words – faith is an activation of our powerful beliefs. Faith is believing. Having faith that something we specifically ask for will occur, is what original Christianity was all about. That’s why miracles happened for the followers of Jesus. That’s why they still do happen today.
The definition of faith is explicitly stated in the Bible too. Faith is NOT our identity to a “brand” of religion but something else quite different. Here’s the real meaning:
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.[2]
Faith becomes the process of activating power. Here’s an excerpt from my book, The Celestial Proposal:
Taking a quantum leap of faith means we actually believe there will be metaphysical changes to our physical reality in life. Faith has to be accepted as a metaphysical process… “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see…”
That is an extraordinary description. In other words, authentic faith has to have an element of unexplainable certainty. It is like a quantum leap of understanding. I use the word quantum to describe the fundamental uniqueness in the activation of faith…
In today’s physics, the quantum theory states that the behavior of an atom can be changed by a quantum of what can be described as the tiniest existence of expectation from a conscious thought. Our expectation is the catalyst that makes it happen.[3]
Gregg Braden gives two components for creating our reality; focused thought synchronized with a strong emotional feeling. So why can’t we make it work, why can’t we materialize the good things we desire in life? If we have to be “certain of what we do not yet see”, then the main obstacle to our power to attract and manifest what we want is OUR DOUBT.
As Braden states, if you do not doubt and “focus on the outcome as if it already happened”, then that reality is steadily created for you. In fact, you are not even going to be surprised when it does, are you? Because you were so certain that it was going to happen.
In the New Testament, the disciples were not surprised when they asked for healing and it immediately happened. We don’t hear them exclaim, “Hey! It really worked!” They were certain of God’s power to heal and perform the miraculous, and because Jesus commissioned them, they were sure of their own right to use that power. They understood that they were accessing a spiritual law, and so were both sure and certain that in some way a celestial source of power would be activated.[4]
That is the kind of faith the disciples of Jesus Christ had. That’s the confidence necessary to activate the law of creating the reality we want it to be.
Our power to create reality is validated by the ramifications of quantum theory when applying it to real life. It’s emerging into contemporary thought through many channels. Not only in Gregg Braden’s books, but in Esther and Jerry Hick’s book, The Law of Attraction. Rhonda Byrne’s book The Secret, is another bestseller, to name only a few. But please remember where this most important, powerful concept first originated! In words of instruction to us from Jesus Christ …the celestial ambassador sent down from the heavens so that we “may have life, and have it to the full”.[5] In our minds, we have the power to change the world around us!
