Is Jesus Christ going to return? Will God destroy the world? Will only believers be saved? One of my blog fans wrote to me asking these very things. And they seem hard questions to answer but not if we check the original source – Jesus answered them!
Dear reader, I am humbled by your request for me to respond to your end time concerns. I’ve often wondered about this fascinating subject. And these are valid questions because the disciples of Jesus sat with him on the Mount of Olives and asked him the same things!
“Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” Matthew 24:3
So here in his own words is how Jesus Christ answers your questions and those of his disciples:
“When will Jesus Christ return to Earth?”
…No one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father…For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be.... Matthew 24:36-39
“What are the signs of Jesus coming back?”
Jesus gave a list of many signs: famines, earthquakes, persecution, false prophets, and the gospel of the kingdom preached to the whole world. And we might say all of these things have already happened. But we’re still disturbed by the next words Jesus gave. I don’t know what this means. Do you?
So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’...flee to the mountains.... Matthew 24:6-16

“How will Jesus come back to earth?”
Jesus explains that when he returns it will seem “as lightning that comes from the east (and) is visible even in the west….”
Immediately after the distress of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken…And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. Matthew 24-29-30
This scenario has not happened yet. When Christ returns to our planet, there will be a huge cataclysmic event seen around the world. And for stars to fall, or shift in the sky, Earth has to be jolted by some strong astronomical force.
But wait a minute. Why will all the “peoples of the earth” mourn when they see Christ coming down from the sky? Because think what that might look like to people who are not Christian and who’ve never heard about the second coming of Chirst. It will seem like our world is about to be taken over by a celestial force from outer space!
And in a sense, that is what will be happening. God is from the heavens, right?
Jesus Christ’s return will end the world’s governments and replace them with a higher moral form of government – it’s called God’s kingdom.
Isn’t that what a kingdom is; a form of government for the inhabitants living in that area? We pray for this kingdom to be established in The Lord’s Prayer:
“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” John 6:10

But I want to reassure you. It is not God who will destroy our world. Because corrupt governments and the corporate greed that’s empowering them are already destroying their own countries and even threatening the existence of our planet. Polluted air and oceans, the annihilation of people, and now the threat of nuclear war, yet Jesus came once to save us. He is returning again to save humanity and to save our world.

“How can we prepare for his coming?”
We can develop the fruits of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galations 5:22-23
“Will only believers be saved?”
God knows who those are. And how can you tell if someone is a believer? Jesus says, “By their fruits, you shall know them.” Think on this too: If you don’t believe in a power that could save you, you won’t reach out for it. How then can you be saved when he returns?
…anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

So even in the unprecedented times of our new 21st Century, Jesus speaks out and warns us to:
Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” Luke 21:34-36

So when we refer to ‘The Second Coming’ we are rather behind the times; we can refer to Abrahin, Moses, Buddha, Christ, and many others, but the whole point is that in every cycle of world existence there has to be a World Leader of a different Zodiacal sign…If those of you who know the Bible well will study it with an open mind you will find that the body of Jesus was taken over by ‘the Spirit of God-the Christ’. Thanks again for writing in Frisky! History does show us many great men who brought down wisdom to our human population. But there is one huge difference between Jesus the Christ and other prophets/saviours/spiritual leaders. Jesus was the only one recorded to be fathered (artificially inseminated into a virgin human mother) by our great God himself!
The name Jesus means “God saves” and the term Christ means “the one anointed with power”. I like to think of Jesus in his human form – as the Son of Man/Son of God. Both terms were used to describe him while he was alive on our planet. But yes, after he died he is referred to as Christ, the one anointed with power in spirit form! So maybe this new leader L.Rampa is talking about – IS THE RETURN OF CHRIST!

I’m so glad you shared this information with us (shortened for brevity). The writer you quote, L. Rampa, seems to be an author who zooms out with perspectives on all religions, prophecy and zodiacal signs in his books. It is fascinating to try to piece it all together, and I think we are each given colourful pieces of the puzzle that fit our level of understanding. I like how clear Jesus answered his friends questions and ours!
