“Me? Climb a mountain? No way.”
That’s what I thought at first when friends suggested we climb the heights of Cathedral Peaks in the province of British Columbia, Canada. But hey, I’m supposed to be empowered – I’m supposed to walk by faith, not by sight.¹
Anyway, that’s my definition of being a Christian. Because what good is our religion or spirituality if we can’t access power from our belief system. I think this is the current pressing spiritual problem in North America and Europe today:
Most Christians don’t act with power. In fact, we think it’s almost ungodly to talk about power.
But I want to tell you, that is simply not true. God gives us the power to climb mountains.
