How do you face “evil” in the eye? What do you do when it confronts you? Because it’s all around us in every culture and country.

It’s time to face the fact that God is not ruling this planet. The kingdom (government) of God is not in political power. Have we voted Him in or asked Him to take over? No!

So who’s in charge???

When I found this one passage in the Bible,  it all made sense to me and I saw it like a sci-fi fiction story being played out in real time:

Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

So the plot for our story it this: evil forces were tossed out of heaven and cast down to our world. Well, apparently they are still here, alive…and ugly.

No wonder we have wars break out all over our planet, hitting us like lightning fires in a forest. We are in an age-old battle against those dark forces now so prevalent in our politics and corporate greed. In order words, don’t give up on Christianity because you think God is behind all the violence and horror. He isn’t.

God is in our world and he can be in our hearts. But what can we do until we can establish his higher/celestial form of moral world government? Until we can establish paradise on earth the way it was designed to be – a real Kingdom of God? We can continue to pray, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew6:10 KJV

I have written two previous parts in this “How to Fight Evil” series.

#1 First, you have to recognize the enemy (The Invisible Tyranny)

#2 Second you have to fight with boldness (Fight Evil with Boldness)

#3 Here is the third key of wisdom you can find in any Bible:

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.  If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.  Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written:

“It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.  On the contrary:
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:16-21 NIV Bible

Burning coals on his head? Wow! That would wake them up, and make him or her think!

Doing good to others allows you to take pride in your integrity and your character, which are traits no one can take away without you letting them. That is your victory!

Besides, evil can’t associate itself with good, with caring and kindness, because those attributes are part of God!

So as the verse says, “…as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone!”
