This Covid 19 time makes me so stressed out. Along with the presidential elections in the States, the violence in the streets, and conspiracy theories popping up like mushrooms in the fall, stress is messing with my mind. I bet I’m not the only one too.

I’ve felt this way before, but then I had logical reasons for it in times of crisis. Now it’s the indecision, the crazy versions of the truth on the news and those stupid scary dystopian movies!
Yes, I wear a mask and keep my social distance to protect myself and others from that invisible invasive enemy. I try to be positive. But I have a favourite passage that I read to help me stay grounded. Maybe it will help you too. Because there is a higher power we can connect to for supernatural protection and peace of mind.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the hunter and from the deadly pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall find protection; His faithfulness shall be your shield and wall. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; nor of the pestilence that pursues in darkness, nor of the destruction that strikes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you... Psalm 91 MEV Bible
So when it feels like I’m swimming on a dark stormy lake, I envision God’s arms sheltering me and I snuggle in close. That’s where I feel most protected. He’s always there waiting to comfort me!
♥ I’m sending virtual hugs to all of you! Stay safe. You are loved.

Those are truly comforting words in these unprecedented, worrisome times.
Today’s release of the latest survey by a large respected financial firm more than illustrates how serious things are right now. 47% of Canadians are within $200 of financial insolvency. One can barely fill the tank of many big pickup trucks for that. Or fill one shopping cart with only average priced food items ( no fancy treats included here ). We in Canada are privileged to have food banks, soup kitchens, shelters, etc. and free money if you can’t pay rent, find work or are caring for anyone with Covid. But it is certainly quite unnerving to many around the world.
I find your words so heartfelt, reassuring and calming. I will be passing your blog onto family members and friends. Blessings to All. Thanks Be To God!!!

Sometimes hardships force us to find a higher connection. When I seek that out, my heart fills with joyful emotion and then I can face the trial knowing I’m not alone. You can feel God, when you take time to call on him. Then it’s exciting to watch and see his input into the situation!

Psalm 91 is my go to scripture. Life does not makes sense but my God has everything in control for He is still God and He sits on His Throne.
Thanks for sharing.
