Faith to walk down the path of life into the wilderness – that’s what I want!
Faith is more than just a Christian denomination. It’s a belief that the power of God is available to us through a unique connection.
You don’t have to go to church to find God. You can find Him in the splendid Cathedrals of nature! It’s when I’m out in the wild high country that I’m closest to God!
Here’s an excerpt from my book, The Celestial Proposal, Chapter 12 A Quantum Leap Belief System, pg. 238:
“My personal experience while ranching in the wilderness of central British Columbia in western Canada required that I build just this kind of faith to withstand the physical trials and concerns of safety for my children, my husband, and myself. We qualified as one of the very last ranch holdings under the Canadian Homestead Act.
The ranch was one hundred miles from any town, with no water, sewer, electricity, or paved roads. There was no social network on which to rely. It was there in the harsh but beautiful wild alpine forests and meadows that I searched for the meaning of life and a personal source of power to endure the hardships.
Tested sometimes to what I felt were my utmost limits I desperately needed to be in connection with a higher power of some sort. I developed a deep understanding of a metaphysical kind of faith and began to see it as a tangible source of power situated just at the edge of my physical reality.”
You can know God by immersing yourself in the beauty he created!
When you get out in the sunlight illuminating every colorful majestic scene, how can you not believe in a divine Intelligent Designer who gave us this beautiful world?
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20 NIV Bible

Beautifully written. I LOVE nature, and I am a big believer that we can commune with God when we are in it, if we choose to do so. Thanks for writing this.

Thanks Kimromain, for engaging with your ‘heart-thoughts’ here. Do you find sacred little glens in nature, where the pristine beauty almost makes you want to cry? That’s the best spots! My meditation/thinking/praying cathedrals. Have you heard answers?
