My hands are in the air, and I can feel some powerful presence swirling around and flowing into my heart. I see the same thing happening to others and I brush away the tears on my cheeks.

We’re asking for the Kingdom of Heaven to come down and reign over us. We’re fervently singing about it to the musical sounds of the worship band.

“Yes, but what’s a kingdom?” It’s a nation of people under one government. The Kingdom of Heaven is the ultimate altruistic, celestial set of laws designed to create true human happiness. The Kingdom of God. This kingdom has tried to establish itself on our planet ever since we were planted here!

Aren’t we all searching for higher moral principles to live by? But the kingdom is already here! Some of you have seen it. And you don’t even have to go to a church to find it. I have felt this same way looking out over beautiful scenes in nature. The heart swelling, the peace descending, as I breathe it all in. Nature adheres to celestial laws. Nature gives witness to the kingdom!

Jesus Christ proposed a celestial alliance to this kingdom and its laws are already being written in our hearts too. Look for it yourself. You’ll see it if you ask for it. In beauty, in smiles, in true charity. I pray to let it pour like rain down on all of us no matter where we live.

“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven….”

When a person chooses to immigrate to a foreign country and take its citizenship, they want to know about the existing laws of that nation because the government defines a person’s rights and privileges. The kingdom of God just happens to be the ultimate in having an altruistic government. The kingdom of God is the government of God! From the author's book: The Celestial Proposal, Chapter 15, Welcome to the Kingdom, page 315.

For this people’s heart has become calloused, they hardly hear with their ears and they have closed their eyes. Matthew 13:10–15 NIV Bible
