Did you ever dream you’d be living the life you now live? Probably not! Life has a way of buffeting us around in the wind like a red balloon on a string!
Do you remember…that old spiritual song they used to sing in the south, “Some times I’m up, sometimes I’m down. Oh yes, Lord. Sometimes I’m almost to the ground. Oh yes, Lord.” (Nobody knows the Trouble I’ve Seen) We all go through chapters in life both up and down.
I’m thankful for all the varied chapters I’ve lived through because in each one I grew from the hardships I faced while holding onto my expectation for change.
CHANGE is the constant here. Change will happen, whether we want it to or not. Because nothing lasts forever.
Change is the catalyst that makes us take action for what we want and have gratitude for what we got!
But best of all, change is the opportunity for us to grow up spiritually, to be good, and strong, and awesome, like God. That’s really what life is for. So in this season of Thanksgiving, I’m thankful. And there is always something to be thankful for because God cares for you. That’s the secret.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

To have any actual power, we must connect in a personal way with what God proclaims… When we can believe and speak the same words in our lives, then we can create and change our realities…
We are not leaves blown about in the wind.”
